A rude notched axe washed out of a river bank in Virginia, west side, of Chesapeake Bay.  Within a few hundred feet of same place found a number of rude arrow points and scrapers; also pieces of pottery.

The rude chipped stone celt (paleolithic) found on Martha's Vineyard, Mass., with numbers of finely finished arrow and spear points, scrapers, drills, fragments of pottery and fragments of soap-stone dish.
