A man presented the hotel manager with a large bouquet of flowers. In a sympathetic voice, he whispered, "This is for the telephone operator."
"Oh, thank you," replied the manager. "I'm sure she'll appreciate this thoughtful compliment for her fine service."
"Service?" roared the man. "I thought she was dead!"
