stratified [[insertion]] ^ yellow [[/insertion]] & somewhat cross-bedded
about 10-12 ft exposed.
There are silty bands in it (narrow).
There are white lime nodules in it - soft.
Also fragments of shells.
Alternating coarser lines of sand.

Above the sand is a layer of coarse gravel & small boulders - more or less cemented, & unconformable.

There are small boulders with the pebbles,

occasionally pebbles appear in sandy part throughout the upper gravelly belt is irregular, but runs about 2 - 3 ft.
Above it is a sandy brown (& at top black) loam, about 2 - 3 ft.
This [[insertion]] ^ pit [[/insertion]] is part way up the slope, & probably 40 - 50 ft. above the valley.
