What I call Kansan is dark, but silty & with
scattered pebble.  There must be 15-18 ft. of it.
The Ill. is yellow, with small boulders & many
pebbles & must be 20 or more feet thick,

Toward E. end gutter cuts down & exposes several feet of red sand & pebbles on a heavy green silt (see sample)

Nearer center of sec. 35 Lake Twp there is a cut on E. side of road showing 5-6 ft. of jointy clay - more loess above, & resting (sharply defined) on yellow sand -
