Left Sioux City at 5:50 AM.
Missed connections at Manilla and waited until 2:15 P.M. for a freight train. This took me to Manning just in time to miss the 3:40 PM train on the C. & NW. for Harlan, and I had to wait until about 9:30 PM. for a belated C. Gr. W. train.
Saw Miss Rogers at Manning.
Reached Harlan after 10 PM. & put up at the Hotel Harlan.
Very hot, and quiet!!
