At the angle there is more muck. The sand & muck are not [[insertion]] ^ uniformly [[/insertion]] definite quantities, but the two together make distinct layer.
The east cut runs to about 17 poles & drops to a cut of 5 or 6 ft. & then the river cut follows.
2nd cut. Between 17 & 23 the cut is low - 6-7 ft.-
