This cut slopes S. & at base shows Kansan

[[underlined]] Cut 63. [[/underlined]] W. - shows much drift at base. Loess up hill S,
 
[[underlined]] Cut 64 [[/underlined]] X shows drift very high, - with much reddish [[stuff?]] - Loess at top, scant, with nodules in lower part,

y - cut shows Kansan at base & up - then a streak of gray loess, vertically about 6 ft, with few spec. of S. avara, then yellow loess with large iron nodules, and shells scattered through, - more than in gray.

The cut rises about 4 ft above top of road.

The upper part of yellow loess has many small nodules at top of hill.

The difference in color in Y (which faces W.) could be seen [[strikethrough]] a [[/strikethrough]] half a mile W.

Cut Z. is not deep but shows gray loess thicker, with many small nodules & iron tubes. Saw no shells. Upper part yellow. Cut only 4-5 ft. deep. Hill steep.

Cut 67 - Cut A. is 7 ft. deep, overgrown & shows yellow loess Faces E.

Cut 68 B - Facing W. Similar to A.

Cut 69  " [[ditto for facing]] E    "" [[ditto's for Similar to A.]]

Cut 70 D - " [[ditto for facing]] E. Gray loess shows tubes & not many nodules
