Spent forenoon working up notes and plats

   In afternoon walked out to Baughn's brickyard.
1261-elev. of RR (C.E.W.) at intersection with road SW. of Baughn's brickyard.

Examined the Baughn Bank. There is a soggy, sandy place at base - Scirpus strains, etc. growing there
  The bank is about 20 ft. high, but is so badly slumped that about 1/2 of it only is clear.  It is gray loess, [[Arcivin?]] below, (forms are [[strikethrough]] [[choratic?]] [[/strikethrough]] rusty strcah?]] 1-2 in thick) near base)
The "gray loess" appearance best at about 6 to 10 ft below top.  The rim
