On E. side NE. 1/4 29-81-37 yellow loess appears, with small nodules in upper part.
[[underline]] Cut 115 [[/underline]]
On E side of sec. 29-81-37 there are two bands along W side of creek, - show what appears to be Kansan, with small boulders & a little sand. Yellow loess above in current exposure (one to east.
[[underline]] Cut 116 [[/underline]]
Along road, [[insertion]] leading west.[[/insertion]] on slope facing E Kansan runs up more than 1/2 way, with barely a soil covering on sides. On top yellow loess is distinct, but intermediate slope not distinct.
[[underline]] Cut 117 [[/underline]]
The exposure on hill facing N. is SW. 1/4 29-81-37 - shows deep gutter & cut near base. A few small boulders & pebbles are washed out at base.  The greater part of the exposure shows a yellow loess 6-8 ft exposed, heavy, with brown & black spots & streaks & with gray cloudings. No nodules or

fossils on the lower slope.  Below it is quite hard & mucky.  Took sample of this heavier part at base, & another 5 ft. higher.
The latter is lower stuff
E side of this cut.

A heavily oxidized layer, with what appears to be gray loess under it.

On N. line of 32-81-37 there is an exposure of yellow loess - 8 ft high, - with a few nodules & shells scattered through.  See spec.
[[underline]] Cut 119 [[/underline]]- At base of long slope facing W. drift appears near school, - for some distance up hill.
