This cut shows yellow loess only.
It is soft with dark spots & streaks, has some nodules & some fossils. Nodules are mostly rounded, some irregular, & mostly scant & scattered. See shells, nodules & loess. The shells are scattered, mostly in lower E.

The W. side is same as E side.
Took fossils from both. No difference.

Transcription Notes:
Done my best to transcribe the second page in a manner that makes sense. A bit all over the place given the illustration. -@siobhanleachman ----------- First line first page, added open and closed parentheses. Comments for Cut 212, changed exposed to separated. Page 2- changed description of image from rock strata to railroad line with cuts and distances labeled Pulled out sketch of Cut 4 and gave it separate image description At bottom of 2nd page changed latter to both. -kbailey
