Cut [[underlined]] 221 [[/underlined]] Cut 6 - is about 300 yds. long. At N. end of W. ridge yellow loess rests on chocolate layer. Same on E. side. N. side cut 6.

At [[overwritten W]] S end on E. side fossilifious gray loess, with tubes & some nodules in exposed about 6 ft & above it is 8 - 10 ft. of yellow loess. Line sharp, oxidized. Saw no fossils in yellow part here.

a = heavy sandy few pebbles.
Reddish above. 7 ft. thick
Base = 1403
Top of Red band (chocolate) 1412

Top of bank - 1439
(The cut on S. side looks similar)
The gray loess runs out - very distinct.
The chocolate layer follows surface of drift, yellow loess - 27 ft thick - few round nodules,
fossils (few) scattered- chiefly below.
About 3 overgrown smaller cuts appear in sec. 33 towards
Earling, but they will be better
