The gray streak & a little drift appear at various points along the road which I travelled today. 
I note only the more striking slopes.
[[underlined]] Cut 46 [[/underlined]] on low slope facing S. Largely overrun. Shows drift at base, gray streak & yellow top. Top of hill = 1388. 
In S. part Camron twp. collects [[?]] [[?]], a fine grass & two [[?]], 1 pink& 1 yellow
[[underlined]] Cut 47 [[/underlined]] is on slope facing E. It shows 1-3 ft. of yellow loessy stuff.
[[underlined]] Cut 48 [[/underlined]] is a long slope facing S. It shows red ferretto & pebbly drift for some distance up the slope & this is [[?]] with a thin layer of yellow.
[[?]] several [[?]] where the top of the hill had least out, & in one place they even heaped up more while

"fixing" the road. The sides are cut.
[[underlined]] Cut. 49 [[/underlined]] 3/4 way up hill a thin gray layer shown. Above it yellow loess - at = 4-5 ft. Then below, drift.
1298 = RR  at Gray.

Drove to [[country?]] W. of Gray to [[underlined]] cut 29 [[/underlined]]
Near S. end of cut, in [[?]], about 2 - 3 ft. of a heavy gray [[joint?]] clay with pebbles, appears [[underlined]] under [[/underlined]] 4-5 ft of reddish pebbly drift with small boulders (see sample of each).
At about 1350 a gray loess begins to appear.
