July 15, Sunday.
It rained quite hard this morning. Jim and I took a walk in the afternoon toward the Pine Glen Farm Resort. Saw a number of Phoebes along the Rocks and heard the [[fall?]] note of a Bluebird. There were English Sparrows and Chimney Swifts were around the cottages
We saw a family of King birds. They were very noisy.

Coming back we ran across a Robin roost

in some scrub oaks. They were coming in for the night. There were over a hundred there already. They seemed to be feeding on the ground.

July 16, Monday
This morning I went fishing before breakfast. Two Phoebes called from the rocks across the river. One would call and the other answer. Twice while I was baiting my hook a pair of Dusky Ducks lit in the back water only to take wing when I looked up.
