76 Went home this afternoon By Spaulding's Corners a young white rumped Shrike sitting on a post. I got out and tried to catch it. I pointed one finger at it and tried to grasp it with my other hand. It fluttered away and I caught it in some oats. The old one was near. It had a very large mouth and bit and screamed. I let it go. Saw some crows about 6 rods from the road. They did not fly.
