Went fishing this afternoon on the second slough. Saw lone Red-winged Black-bird and a Bronzed Grackle.

Phoebes.
On my way home I scared up a Great Blue Heron. I followed for some distance
It flew up with feet straight down and neck up instead of the regular way. Once I saw it on the ground. It flew immediately.

This morning I went down in the fields.
Saw some Song Sparrows along the ditch and a number of Goldfinches.
