under the trees when they saw me they ran over a hillock and then flew over into a plowed field. Saw a number of Prarie Horned Larks. They seemed to be full of fight.
They would be quietly feeding and then all rise and whirl perilously near the ground in circles after a companion. They would whirl off so far that I could only see them when thier underparts were towards me and then come back near me.
