I fancy you have many letters from your own home and I shall only say that Louise was at my house a few moments yesterday and she looked very well indeed.
The Ferris family have been my guests for a couple of days and left last evening. They are all very well and Mr. Ferris wished to be kindly remembered to you. He looks very well and says that his present duties are the most agreeable he has had in railway service.
The French Government has invited you to loan the Music Room for their Memorial Exhibition of Mr. Whistler's works to be held in Paris in May next, and I have replied to their invitation in your behalf, consenting to their request. I am arranging to send the Detroit pictures direct from here to Paris and yours will go along with mine.
You have doubtless noticed the advance in the prices of railway and industrial stocks. The tendency seems to be strongly upwards. Copper range is selling today at a little better than 80. Amalgamated is about 81. The drop [[strikethrough]] is [[strikethrough]] ^[[in]] price occasioned by the Lawson attack has apparently been recovered. American Trust & Savings Bank stock has sold at 265 and brokers are prophesying 275 for it in the near future. 
Watson and Anna are well, but I fancy you have news direct from them quite frequently.
