art and history. My visit was made at the right season (harvest) and in perfect weather. I started early every morning and did lots of driving - saw practically every thing I planned and learned new lessons of the power of Whistler's selection of subjects for both painting and etchings. I have examples in both mediums done throughout Touraine during the late eighties. I am well and am pleased with the beautiful experiences being found day by day. Next Saturday or Sunday I shall go back to London leaving other things in France to be done another year. With kindest regards
very sincerely yours
