My dear Colonel,

On my return to the hotel this evening I found your cablegram reading "Sale effected, Phillip McMillan and Stain purchasers. Deposited your credit fourteen thousand. Improving slowly".

Well, I for one, am glad to see the end of a combination which was formed too hurriedly and of too many & cements of differing interests to run the Free Press as it should be run.
