The Museum furnished an assistant to Dr. E. A. Mearns, U.S.A., during the larger part of his service with the International Boundary Commission (United States & Mexico). A very large series of mammals of all kinds has been collected along the boundary line, beginning at El Paso, Texas, and it is proposed to carry the work through to the Pacific coast.

Dr. W. L. Abbott has [[strikethrough]] sent [[/strikethrough]] engaged in natural history explorations in Kashmir, especially about Srinagar and the Vale of Kashmir generally, and also in Baltistan. He has forwarded many valuable specimens to the Museum from these localities.
