I went ashore to chaperon 4 girls, the 2 Sweetzers, Misses Day & Hedges. We rode along the lighted streets & shopped for postcards & baskets, returned at 10:30
4) Left Nagasaki at daylight. Sea calm; weather hot. The 4th was celebrated by a dinner & a dance afterward.
5)Weather continued warm. Saw several high rocks or islets at sundown one within a few miles of us, no bird life or fish on the sea.
