1 Hylobates
Heard dailing wailing, the note a rising whoop of great volume & capable of carrying a mile & a half.
The herds consisting of 3 or 4 to 15 or twenty of mixed ages. Old ♂s ^[[live]] by themselves in herds. [[strikethrough]] Note som[[/strikethrough]] call uttered only in morning on bright days from dawn to noon. In cloudy weather until late afternoon. 2♀ & 1 yg ♂ collected.
2 Semnopithecus
seen in herds of 4 or 5 to 40, mixed sexes & ages. No call note, when alarmed a squeaking note is kept up to keep herd together. Food a large bean of an [[underline]]Acacia[[/underline]]. Newly born yg ^[[are]] carried on ^[[the]] bellies of parent & at first give one the impression that the parent has [[strikethrough]] an [[/strikethrough]] orange red underparts
