In several places immense red figs were seen laying [[sic]] in the road. They were 3 to 4 inches in diameter & the size of apple but are of no commercial value. The tree which produces them has immense ellyptical leaves of ordinary texture & color. Several other fruits were seen in the road. Yellow plum shaped ones & green olive like fruits or nuts. Few flowers are to be seen, a couma like plant bearing white balsam like flowers in a dense spike is the most conspicuous. A red flower in panicles is also common. The stage was a short one & I reached the bungalow at Kalongkher at 11:45 A.M. The derwan was a Katchin evidently & could talk no English. He wore a cue or rather his hair was done up in a knot on his crown
