I have seen quite a few tembles of Burmese design, natural work with sharp spires on the roofs gilded. Shot cone shaped padodas of white lime about 30 feet tall are found here as well as ancient weathered ones of brick. Coco palms are a common shade tree about Burma houses but are not used by the Europeans as an ornament. There is a a mission for the Katchins, an American Baptist Miss. by Rev. Ingram.
