I visited the palace which is built inside a great stone wall or fort with a wide moat running around it which is bridged where there are gates. Inside their [[sic]] is several square miles of open meadow used now for barracks by the British & parade grounds. The temple is now only a show place. It consists of one story walls supported by great wooden pillars which are gilded as are the thrones & walls in places. There is much gilt & small mirrors or pieces set in the walls & pillars.
