brought on by fever.  This man is Mr Bruce Cowley a tea planter.  He has a large series of heads & mounted rugs as well as photographs of all his tropies.  I saw a large number of Serow heads, the black sort like the one shot at Teng-yueh.  He killed all of these by driving still [[?hunting]] being fruitless.  Many muntjac & a few sambar were also in his collection.  In the Terai he has shot tigers, bison & a sloth bear.  All of his shooting has been done with the Winchester 401 Automatic which has never jammed with him & has shown great shocking & killing power.    Gorals are quite rare here.  Pigs are seldom shot in the hills but are more plentiful on the plains.
