Dear François Gerard:

I promised to keep you aware of our purchases.

We just received in the firm an oval PICASSO and two BRAQUEs; the PICASSO from 1911, and [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] ^[[one]] BRAQUE from 1914 and I suppose ^[[the other]] 1916. All three are superb in quality and we are both enchanted about them. I suppose that they will be very easy to sell.

We are going to frame them....in black, as we have tried a black frame and they look gorgeous.

To my feeling, we are lacking, ^[[just]] now /^[[now]] early PISSARRO, early SISLEY, ^[[Cezanne Lautrec]] early MONET, VAN GOGH, SEURAT, and GAUGUIN; the last one has become amazingly rare over here. Wildenstein recently had a one-man show of this artist and in which there was practically nothing for sale.
