27.

14th May 1934. A poor day, though much sun: stormy NW-W winds, frequent showers during & after which temperature fell greatly. Few insects out!
Drove, with E. O'Mahony, to Colbinstown, Co. WI side of boundary; but very cold & windy so came back to Rathsallagh Ho. & collected in marsh : also cold & windy & heavy showers spoiled everything; next returned via Dunlavin to Raheen, but vegetation still backward & the place windswept; finally left there & drove back to woods [[strikethrough]] at [[/strikethrough]] near Dunshane, [[insertion]] - 2 miles N of Harristown bridge over R. Liffey [[/insertion]] near (S. of) Naas, Co. KD.
