18th May 1934. Left Dublin at 3.0 PM. & drove to Duncannon, Co. Wexford.
After a wet night & morning, beautifully fine in Dublin by midday & as far south as Carlow, then we drove into a "jam" which continued all the way to Duncannon, so that no collecting could be done at all.
