17th June 1934. An almost perfect day, much hot sun, little wind (mainly SW), & some clouds. Drove to Coran, on Little Slaney, in Glen of Imaal, Co. Wicklow. Worked up Little Slaney for a mile, then across bog to stream flowing off Ballineddin Mt. where good willow scrub at about 1,200 to 1,300 ft.
Little Slaney = 1, Ballineddin = 2.

Also 1 red tailed, probably [[underlined]] lapidarius [[/underlined]] [[virgin female symbol]].
