73.)

24th June 1934. A wretched day, with cold NE-E. wind & rain from early morning, after a somewhat similar day the day before.
Intended going to Termonfeckin, with Allen, to meet Faris (of Cavan); but put Allen off & drove to Drogheda, then down N. bank of river to old sand-pit where waited 15 minutes (11-20 - 11-35), & as no sign of Faris drove inland to New Bridge at foot of King William Glen. Crossed river at New Bridge (into Co. Meath 1) & as rain ceased, walked along tow-path of old canal to Old Bridge, [[underlined]] very nice ground on a good day [[/underlined]].
Canal, between New & Old Bridges, Co. ME.
[[underlined]] Acrodactyla degener [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[female symbol]] on underside of lime leaf.

Left New Bridge at 2 PM. & drove home, where still raining from Balbriggan southwards!
