28th June. Left Dublin at 8 50 AM & drove via Maryborough, Roscrea, Nenagh, Limerick, Newcastle West, Castleisland, Killarney, & Beaufort to Glencar, Caragh Lake, Co. Kerry (S), where arrived at 6.50. Rain off & on wherever there were hills, but fine on the plain especially about Limerick; Wind vry strong W-NW.
Stopped for lunch at Shanbally, between Toomyvara & Nenagh, Co. NT. but a heavy [[live?]] squall prevented any collecting.
Stopped for aft.- tea just S of Headley Bridge on Kerry side of river, where nice oak scrub, some planted Spanish Chestnut, much [[underlined]] Euphorbia hiberna [[/underlined]] & in an old quarry on roadside a great deal of [[underlined]] Jasione montana [[/underlined]]. Here collected for about 40 minutes. Then drove on to Killarney to speak to E. F. Bullock, then to Glencar where there had no rain (a little "mist" only) all day. After supper took one [[underlined]] Geomalacus [[/underlined]] under bark of old pine stump behind Glencar Hotel.

Transcription Notes:
"Toomyvara" (left page) might be an alternate spelling of Toomevara - a village East of Nenagh. -@mnathan Reviewed. Fabulously accurate transcription as usual! [[live?]] looks [[line?]] to me but I'm not sure so I've left as is. Confirmed Euphorbia hiberna & edited a "then" to "there". Think its ready to complete. -@siobhanleachman
