7.7.34. [[insertion]] cont. [[/insertion]] At 4.0 PM. drove back to L. Acoose. I stayed till 5.30, but did not collect. Saw one [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Bombus jonellus [[/underlined]] on flowers of [[underlined]] Erica tetralix [[/underlined]] !

8th July 1934. Another blazing day!
Drove to Lough Nakirka, one of the "Red Lakes", a few miles N. of Glencar, on the old road to Caragh Lake, & walked a mile to west of road where there is a remnant of an old oak wood, now nearly oakless & with the hollies barked by cattle, goats or deer (? which) & the birches also in a decayed state. Too hot to do any serious work, but collected in wood from 1.0 till 5.0 PM.
Wood by outlet stream from Lough Nakirka, N. of Glencar, Co. SK. 1.0 till 5.0 PM.
Several [[underlined]] Bombi [[/underlined]] heard, only one or two B. [[underlined]] agrorum [[/underlined]] seen.
