17th July 1934. A fine day with southerly breeze. Drove via [[Sneem?]] & Kenmare to the Sheen River where collected from 1.30 till 3.0 PM., then on to very nice morainic ground at [[strikethrough]] [[Dallin?]] [[/strikethrough]] Drominassig Bridge, but only stayed a few minute & saw nothing. [Bullock in probably correct when he opined that it was here that Cuthbert took his "[[underlined]] Andrena labialis [[/underlined]]" in July 1898, but it would take several fine days to explore the place.] Next drove on through "tunnel" & down Glengarriff road until a good view of Bantry Bay was obtained & after climbing to a "view rock", drove back to Sheen River, where stopped for tea & collected a few more insects. Then drove back to Darrynane.
