20th July 1934. Very damp & warm, after a terrific wet night & SE. "gale": showers of misty rain at intervals all day, but insects out if given the slightest opportunity. Spent day mostly at road through wood - Lord Adare's wood!, but also collected a few by ruins of the Abbey on Abbey Island in afternoon.

During morning George & Daisy went along coast path to the Harbour & saw many [[underlined]] Geomalacus maculosus [[/underlined]] on white lichen covering the rocks. They also caught a fine [[male symbol]] [[underlined]] Protichneumon laminatorius [[/underlined]] by the path.
