154.) 24th March 1935. A most disappointing day, rain coming on about mid-day after a promising morning. Very mild, soft, with much sun between 10.0 & noon. Rode out to [[underlined]] Gelnasmole, Co. Quite a number of bees still out, nevertheless, & [[underlined]] clarkella [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] continued working at willows in shelter long after the "drip" had started. [[underlined]] No [[/underlined]] butterflies seen & [[underlined]] no [[/underlined]] ^ [[insertion]] chiff-chaff or [[/insertion]] willow warblers heard & [[underlined]] no [[/underlined]] sand martins seen by the Dodder at Old Bawn. Might be "Old Bawn" - Old Bawn (or Oldbawn) being a suburb of Dublin on the edge of the River Dodder. I've gone ahead and taken it out of [[?]] brackets. Unsure of multiple instances of word that looks like "reservoirs" (right page), though. -@mnathan
Well done @mnathan as I think you've hit the nail on the head with Old Bawn. I also think it is "reservoir" and have therefore taken them out of brackets. We are making great progress!
