20th April 1935. A wretched day, after a wet night.
Dull, E & SW winds, dripping from early morning till 4 pm., then of course fine till dark.
Rode via Clondalkin & Milltown to Grand Canal at Hazelhatch & worked along same part Lyons House & home via Newcastle & Saggart. Everything dripping! A few insects swept along drain parallel to canal opposite [[underlined]] Skeagh House [[/underlined]], Co. Dublin, about 1 PM.
[[underlined]] Dacnusa lateralis [[/underlined]] ? 1 fine [[male symbol]]. [[underlined]] D. areolaris [[/underlined]] [[insertion]] & longiradialis mihi [[/insertion]] 1 [[male symbol]], 1 [[female symbol]]. [[insertion]] - This [[female symbol]] Nixon has made the type of my species; the [[male symbol]] he has returned unnamed, but it is either [[underlined]] areolaris [[/underlined]] or another sp. of this complex. A.W.S. 9.11.1936. [[/insertion]]

Hemiteles or Phygadeuon ? 1 [[female symbol]], red abd.
