28th April 1935. A dull morning, with chilly "sea-fog" & not clearing even at Sallins till after 2 pm : then all sunny & very hot. Left Dublin 11.35 AM. 
Rode to ry bridge, on Naas line, S. of Sallins station (arr 12-11 noon!): stayed there & worked "ponds" & hedges till about 5 pm. then worked down branch of canal & main canal to 1 mile N. of Lyon's Ho. (Ponsonby Bridge); left there at 6.40 & arr. home 8.3 pm. via Blackchurch, &c.
