12th May 1935. The poorest day since 4th! Very cold & strong E wind, with "jam" & no sun till 3 PM, after a fine night & ^ [[insertion]] early [[/insertion]] morning; then all sunny, but still very harsh. Insects, except [[underlined]] Doleri [[/underlined]], very shy!
Coombes, &c., along E. side of lower reservoir
Glenasmole, Co. DU. [[insertion]] Wood White Butterfly common! [[horiztonal line]] [[/insertion]]
[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum, agrorum [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] muscorum [[/underlined]], a few [[2 female symbols]] only seen & one [[underlined]] lucorum [[/underlined]] repeatedly visiting gorse flowers!
[[underlined]] Andrena clarkella [[/underlined]] 1 vigorous [[female symbol]] seen hunting for a burrow (? because ground was so hard): very late date!
