2nd June 1935. A fine day but very strong SW wind after a break in weather & some rain at night, dull with some showers & sun bursts in forenoon, but all sunny & cooler in afternoon. Left home  9.30 & rode with Palmer to Athdown, arriving about 11.45. Stayed then till 4.30 & with wind behind rode to [[Termon?]] in about 1 hour & 7 minutes.
