25th Sept. 1935. A most perfect autumn day, after rain & a cold clear night. Many insects out, but vegetation too wet to sweep & all insects taken off leaves &c with sucker.

[[underlined]] Athalia [[/underlined]], black apex to tibiae, many [[2 male symbols]], "assembling" in one sunny spot.
Sawflies: 2 purple larvae on [[underlined]] Epilobium montanum [[/underlined]], hanging in a curve from their cast skins & looking very like bird droppings.
