[[underlined]] Ichneumon lugens [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[female symbol]] seen, almost certainly this species.
[[underlined]] Hemiteles [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[female symbol]] [[insertion]] - See J.F.P. [[underlined]] in litt. [[/underlined]] 5.4.1937. [[/insertion]] swept: red abd.; "bald spot" in front of mesonotum!
[[underlined]] Thersilochus [[/underlined]] sp. as usual abundant at some willows (mainly at catkins on [[male symbol]] trees going out of bloom): [[2 female symbols]] much more common than [[2 male symbols]]: 7 [[2 female symbols]] mtd. on 1 card.

Pair of Siskin in pine plantation by upper reservoir in morning & in larch plantation below this in aft., the cock bird singing vigorously as I approached, but silent after I passed under him!

17th April 1936. A fine cold day, mainly sunny, with a few skiffs of "snow". With Rev. Gregg & his son Noel from Belfast. Foot of Glencullen, Enniskerry, Co. WI. Few insects out!
Spent most time showing the Greggs [[underlined]] Clausilia laminata [[/underlined]], but also saw [[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] terrestris [[/underlined]]. [[underlined]] Andrena clarkella [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] & [[underlined]] A. albicans [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]]. [[underlined]] Nomada leucophthalma [[/underlined]], 1 small, dark [[female symbol]].

19th April 1936. A poor day, after a glorious early morning, with cold N wind & drizzle after 2.30 P.M. followed by heavy rain (snow on mountains) during the night. Insects just going to bed as I arrived!
Coombs, &c., E. of lower reservoir (upper end!), [[underlined]] Glenasmole, Co. Dublin [[/underlined]] 11.30 AM. till rain at 2.30 P.M.
[[underlined]] Bombus terrestris [[/underlined]] several [[2 female symbols]]. [[underlined]] B. lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] abundant & some gathering pollen.
[[underlined]] B. jonellus [[/underlined]] several [[2 female symbols]] & one gathering pollen.
[[underlined]] Psithyrus distinctus [[/underlined]] 1 small [[female symbol]].
[[underlined]] Andrena clarkella [[/underlined]] a few [[2 female symbols]] working.
[[underlined]] A. apicata [[/underlined]], 1 fresh [[male symbol]] about 2 p.m. during last burst of sun, quite fresh, at bank in 3rd coomb; several [[2 female symbols]] seen on Salix.
[[underlined]] A. albicans [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] seen. [[underlined]] A. gwynana [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] seen.
[[underlined]] Halictus rubicundus [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] seen.
[[underlined]] Salius fuscus [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] common.
[No sawflies seen!]. [No icks. or Braconids seen!]
[Still no Swallows!]

Siskin again heard singing in two places & therefore I think more than one pair about!
