9th May 1936. 7-8 pm. Very hot sunny day!
 Garden, 14 Clareville Rd., Harolds Cross, DU.
1st ick seen in garden during year: [[2 male symbols]] of a species of Campoplegid with banded hind tibiae (black & whitish!), not kept, probably [[underlined]] Angitia [[/underlined]] or [[underlined]] Omorga [[/underlined]] !
[[underlined]] Andrena jacobi [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] & several fresh [[2 female symbols]], seen for first time in garden this year.
[[underlined]] Halictus leucopus [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] seen. [[underlined]] B. agrorum [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] seen.
[[underlined]] Vespa vulgaris [[/underlined]] several [[2 female symbols]] seen.
[[arrow from "Bombus lucorum" above]] [ [[underlined]] Bombus jonellus [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] seen in garden on, I think, the evening of 5th May, first at flowers of black currant & then at Mediterranean Heath.]

Worked coombs &c, E. of lower reservoir & marshy road below dam.
[[underlined]] Bombus terrestris [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] only noted. [[underlined]] B. lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] common.
[[underlined]] B. agrorum [[/underlined]] a few [[2 female symbols]]. [[underlined]] B. muscorum [[/underlined]] also a few [[2 female symbols]].
[[underlined]] B. jonellus [[/underlined]] 1 [[virgin female symbol]] (1st [[virgin female symbol]] seen 1936) seen at larch.
[[underlined]] Psithyrus distinctus [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] frequent.
[[underlined]] Andrena clarkella [[/underlined]], several faded [[2 female symbols]] still out.
[[underlined]] A. cineraria [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] & 1 [[female symbol]] playing about at 4.30 PM.
[[underlined]] A. albicans [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] jacobi [[/underlined]] seen, but only [[2 male symbols]] of latter.

[[underlined]] Sphecodes monilicornis [[/underlined]] 1 very small [[female symbol]] running on birch.
[[underlined]] Nomada leucophthalma [[/underlined]] at least 1 [[female symbol]] seen.

[[underlined]] Salius fuscus [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] common.
[[underlined]] Vespa norvegica [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] gathering fibre on dead [[underlined]] Angelica [[/underlined]]
