Lane from Carn Prospect to dunes (=1) & dunes, towards Annagh Head (=2), The Mullet, W Mayo,10:30 AM to l:30 P.M. Some sun, very windy (SW). 

[[underlined]] Bombus lapidarius [[/underlined]] 1 0r 2 [[2 female symbols]]. 
[[underlined]] B. lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]].  
[[underlined]] B. appeninus [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] [[[underlined]] B.  hortorum [[/underlined]] at 5.30 A.M. at Carn Villa]
[[underlined]] Sphex sabulose [[/underlined]] [[checkmark]] { Taken by George  but labeled A.W.S.! about 11.45 AM. including many [[2 male symbols]] & 2 pairs [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] clinging together but apparently in cop.  Many [[2 male symbols]] subsequently seen all on the dunes & on sandy flat N. of the high dunes; just where Charles Oldham reported see Sphex in 1933 & 34.

[[underlined]] Myrmica ruginodis [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] M. scabrinodis [[/underlined]]: a [[unisex symbol]] of former taken while being dragged off, apparently lifeless, by a Staphylinid beetle, = 
[[underlined]] Tenthredopsis nassata [[/underlined]] 1 small, very red abdomen: [[male symbol]] in lane.
[[underlined]] Pachynematus obductus [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[female symbol]].
[[underlined]] Blennocampa cf. tenuicornis [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] at Carne
[[underlined]] Attractodes [[/underlined]] red abd. 3 [[male symbol]] [[male symbol]] (carded) & 1 [[female symbol]] (pinned) on dunes.

[[underlined]] Stenomacrus [[/underlined]] 1 large [[male symbol]] (carded) = [[underlined]] S. intermedius [[/underlined]] Holmgr. ? A.W.S. 23.9.'36.
[[underlined]] Bracon guttiger [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[female symbol]] (A.W.S. 11.8.36) - like this only superficially, but terebra too short, 2nd cubital too short, legs too black, auturiform articulation strongly sinuate.  A.W.S. 23.9.36.
[[underlined]] Orgilus obscurator [[/underlined]] { 2 [[male symbol]] [[male symbol]] & 1 [[female symbol]] at 2.
[[underlined]] Apanteles [[/underlined]] cf. [[underlined]] infimus [[/underlined]] Hal. 1 [[female symbol]].

Procto. 1

13/6/36, afternoon.  Sand dunes same as in morning.  Wind stronger, cooler & very little sun.

[[underlined]] Bombus muscorum [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] reported by George.  [[underlined]] B. lapidarius [[/underlined]] & [underlined]] lucorum [[/underlined]]
[[underlined]] Sphex sabulosa [[/underlined]] [[checkmark]]  A good many [[male symbol]] [[male symbol]] about in spite of wind & lack of sun, one pair found by George & 1 or 2 other [[female symbol]] [[female symbol]] seen.  [[underlined]] Sphex [[/underlined]] noted by George as most common when a striped Geomatrid larvae also most common:  latter feeds in flowers of [[underlined]] Lotus cornicalitus [[/underlined]] & possibly [[underlined]]  Nyssia zonaria [[/underlined]].
[[underlined]] Pompilus gibbus [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] examined.
[[underlined]] Dicaclotus morosus [[/underlined]] ? 2 [[female symbol]] [[female symbol]]
[[underlined]] Attractodes [[/underlined]] ? reddish [[female symbol]] [[female symbol]] - 5 mtd. on one card.  frequent very like a Pompilid;  one seen by M.D.S. apparently stinging something buried in the sand. = [[underlined]] A. compressus [[/underlined]] Thoms. ??
