15th June 1936.  After another stormy & wet night, it cleared about 10 AM. but only fitful sun except while we walked home & ate dinner.  Practically only one sunburst in afternoon.  Wind W-SW & very cold & strong all day.   Rain again in evening.

"A.M." [[underlined]] Sand dunes towards Annagh Head & lane [[/underlined]] from Carne Prospect to same;  The Mullet, WM. 
10:30-1:30 PM. Most insects swept in lane on way home.

[[underlined]] Colletes montanus [[/underlined]] 1 fresh [[male symbol]] on Leontodon or [[?ondrich]] just S. of Carne Villa.
[[underlined]] Halictus albipes [[/underlined]] ? 1 [[female symbol]] seen with last, & another smaller [[female symbol]]
[[underlined]] Sphex sabulosa [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] [[female symbol]] frequent in dunes & latter watched digging (rather aimlessly!) but no sign of any yet storing prey.
