91.) 20th Dec. 1936. A nice mild day with much sun in Dublin, cloudy in hills, but spoiled by S-SW gale. Rode to Slade of Saggart & sucked both sides, but no hymenoptera seen on east side & almost all taken were captured with the sucker on bramble leaves: sweeping yielded nothing but a couple of cynipids & 1 very small black [[underlined]] Exallonyx [[/underlined]] ? A fine winter's day, with no wind, some clouds & considerable sun, but pretty cold. The third fine day in succession. Rode to Slade of Saggart where arrived at 11.30 AM & left about 2.30 PM. Only collected on W. side of the slade & most insects taken with sucker, though a few swept off sparse grass & other vegetation under trees along old track or in upper part of glen.
