[[underlined]] Hemiteles [[/underlined]] very small [[female symbol]] swept in clump of [[underlined]] Luzula sylvatica [[/underlined]] on N. face of upper dam.

[[underlined]] Pimpla examinator [[/underlined]] 1 small [[female symbol]] beaten out of Conifer by the filter [[?bits/buds]]
[[underlined]] P. pomorum [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] swept with net from privet bush (or conifer beside same) on W. side of lower reservoir (what I call the "sun-trap")
[[underlined]] Aphidius [[/underlined]] sp. 4 [[male symbol]] [[male symbol]] swept under trees at or near the last place
"Staph." beetle taken at same place at root of trees by M.D.S. & a few other coleoptera & no [[male symbol]] [[underlined]] Andrenas [[/underlined]] set out on bee bank in 3rd [[?combe]], where I went by way of an experiment, & not that I expected any bees to be out, though it could not have been due to the temperature of the air that they were not out.

Mistle Thrush sang on 11th Jan. in Westfield Road.

Jan-Feb 1937.  Very bad weather, especially on my free days, throughout the latter half of January & the fist half of February.  The Crocuses in fruit garden began to come out in first week in Feb. & the first flowers appeared on the [[?Benesenagh]] plant of [[underlined]] San. oppositifolia [[/underlined]] in fruit garden.


14th Feb. 1937.  A very fine mild day, after a wet one & a mild week.
Slade of Saggart, Co. DU.  Noon till 2 p.m.

[[underlined]] Pimpla maculator [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] sitting on bramble in glen.
[[underlined]] P. elegans [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] flying in sun & lit on bramble leaf, where captured.
[[underlined]] Stenomacrus ventralis [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] [[female symbol]] frequent on bramble leaves under trees in glade by the old road:  [[male symbol]] & 2 [[female symbol]] [[female symbol]] mtd. on same card.
[[underlined]] Aperileptus [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]], with last.

Cynipid  1
Stone-flies flying, dead [[female symbol]] frog run over on road at foot of "Slade" & Coltspot out near Jobstown.
Hazel [[male symbol]] catkins out, [[female symbol]] not looked for.
