Garden, 5.30 - 7.0 PM, 14 Clareville Rd., Dublin.

[[underlined]] Chrysis ignita [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]], [[underlined]] Crabo varius [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] [[male symbol]], & either [[underlined]] Pemphredon lugubris [[/underlined]] or [[underlined]] Crabro leucostomus [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] seen at bored post in garden.
[[[underlined]] Odynerus pictus [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] seen on motor house wall at 12.30 noon on 27/5/37.]

27th May 1937.  Another day with hot sun.
[[underlined]] Ratoath [[/underlined]] bog, near Dunshaughlin, Co. ME.  
3 till 5 PM.  Swept in fields of swampy places on site of bog & especially in drain along N. side of thorn hedge.
[No aculeates, nor even one [[underlined]] Bombus [[/underlined]], or sawflies seen.]

[[underlined]] Homocidus signatus [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] kept.
[[underlined]] Promethes [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]], runs to [[underlined]] laticarpus [[/underlined]], but has mesonatum highly polished & abdomen with 2nd seg. not tricoloured, red with black patch, 4th ditto, segments 7-13 of antennae with tyloides, those on 7 & 13 small.

Metastylus or Myrianthrus [[male symbol]], white front coxae, &c.
