13th June 1937.  A damp day:  no sun! heavy rain from 7 A.M. till 10.0, then drip till 2.0 P.M., then fine but very dull & damp till 5.0 P.M.;  then more rain (i.e. on upper Liffey Valley where we were: no rain in Dublin in aft.).

Plantation on W. slope of Dowry, (750-800 ft. alt.,) Kilbride, N.E. of Blessington, Co. WI.  11.30 till 1.0 P.M.
All insects here taken with sucker during heavy rain on under side of leaves, chiefly beech, oak, or horse-chestnut!
