Precincts of ruined mud & stone cottage at head of valley leading up from near Curracloe R.C. Chapel to Lough-na-peesta, about 1/4 mile S.E. of last. Made two "sweeps" of very sparse vegetation in & around ruins & George made one sweep of same place. These efforts produced a great number of small parasitics & beetles, the little jumping beetle (Orchestes alni) being very abundant. The constitution of the catch was also rather startling, as will be seen below, & the first sweep yielded a large number of [[male symbol]] Cheno serphids, suggesting an assembly, as well as various other Proctos. Many of which sent to B.M. [Only 32 kept & these labelled 11.10.1938! A.W.S.]

Helorus anomalipes? 3 (one each sweep & 1 by George!)
Lissonoto [[?bifovolata]] 1 [[female symbol]] (carded)
Myriarthrus cingulator 1 [[female symbol]].
Mesochorus sp. 1 [[male symbol]] very small.
Phrudus fuliginosus] miki. 1 [[male symbol]], which agrees with [[male symbol, male symbol]] take at Travalna, SL., 10.7.36, in being more sculptured on petiole & pleurae than type [[female symbol]]. AWS, 11.10.1938, [[?KWS]]
